If the other candidate is still interested, they can fill the vacancy ASAP. Otherwise, the City can post applications to fill the position and interview candidates again. Options: 1) Offer the vacant position to a candidate who interviewed in April to fill the position ASAP. 2) Post the vacancy and seek applications to fill the vacancy on the Internet Action Committee. Recommendation: Option 1 Attachments: Steve’s Letter for Resignation From: Steven Collier 19960 Maxwill Avenue N Marine on St. Croix, MN 55047 06/15/2023 To: Robert Wilmers Internet Action Committee Cc: Kyle Morell City Administrator RE: Resignation Dear Mr. Wilmers, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from my position on the Internet Action Committee (IAC) effective immediately. As part of my retirement plans, I have submitted my Homestead termination paperwork to the State of Minnesota. While I do not have any confirmation communication as of yet, I assume this is taking place. I verified with the IAC that in order to serve I need to be a Minnesota resident and that obviously is changing. It has been a privilege to work with a committee that holds such high integrity and commitment to internet access for the common good of a community that I will now call my summer home. Sincerely, Steven R. Collier
