Re: Taco Daze: PRC Pickleball Team Registration Fee
Issue: The Parks and Recreation Committee will host the “6th Annual Taco Daze
Pickleball Tourney” at the 2023 Taco Daze event on September 9th. PRC
recommends the registration fee to be $20 per mixed (co-ed) team, with a
maximum of 12 teams participating.
Background: The Parks and Recreation Committee has organized the Pickleball
Tournament at the last 5 Taco Daze events. PRC would like to continue
this year and reduce the fee for participating teams to $20. The fee is to
cover expenses associated with the event. This fee is not included in the
current fee schedule, and therefore needs Council approval.
Solicitations for registrations would begin by August 11 th, and close on
September 8th or when the maximum of 12 teams have registered.
Fiscal Impact: None – the fee is to cover the expenses. Minor expenses include, but are
not limited to, pickleballs, medals, and minor prizes.
Options: 1. Approve registration fees of $20 per mixed (co-ed) Pickleball team.
2. Do not approve registration fees of $20 per mixed (co-ed) Pickleball
team.
