05. Letter from Bone Lake AssociationMarch 6, 2024 City of Scandia, The Bone Lake Association thanks the City of Scandia for taking action to resolve the recent situation on Bone Lake regarding wetland spoils from Moody Lake being deposited near Bone Lake. The Bone Lake Community with the partnership of the Comfort Lake Forest Lake Watershed District has worked hard over the past two decades to improve the water quality of Bone Lake. Bone Lake has improved from a grade F to a grade B-, and this spring Bone Lake will be delisted from the MPCA list of impaired waters. This is worth celebrating! The City of Scandia and the Bone Lake Association share a common mission to protect and improve the water quality of our lakes, rivers, and wetlands. Together we strive to make Scandia a great place to live now and for future generations. Sincerely, President Tom Furey Vice President Paul Draheim Treasurer Terry Pohlkamp Secretary Mary Jo Pohlkamp Board Members: Mark Lofstrom, Wayne Moe, Jen Oknich, Patty O'Gorman, Dave Bakke
