02-17-10 Council Special Fire Truck Specs

A special meeting of the Scandia City Council was held on the above date. Mayor Dennis Seefeldt
called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The following were present: Council members Pete Crum,
Connie Amos and Mayor Dennis Seefeldt. Staff present were: Administrator Anne Hurlburt,
Attorney David Hebert, Fire Chief Jim Finnegan, Assistant Fire Chiefs Mike Hinz and Bill Havener
and other Fire Department members (Allen Rydeen, Ron Boesel, Bill Boyd, Erich Kertzscher, Bill
Schwartz and Kent Swenson.) The purpose of the meeting was to review draft specifications for
the build-out of the replacement fire rescue truck.
The group reviewed the specifications. The Fire Department will make some changes and then
provide an editable file to the City Attorney who will review it and revise certain sections (such as
the insurance and warranty sections) as needed. Tentatively, the City Council will be requested to
approve the specifications and authorize advertisement for bids at its March 16, 2010 meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8:34 p.m.
