Subject: Work Session
Hi Anne- Please pass this on to everyone for the workshop tonight. Thanks.
Sorry, but I won't be at the work session tonight. I do have a few comments on the agenda items.
As for the Administrator hiring process, if we decide to hire a consultant, I think the Springsted proposal is adequate for
what we need. I believe a consultant would be a good idea (although not totally convinced). I do believe strongly though,
that we need to hire an City Administrator, not a clerk. We need someone who will be proactive in planning for issues
down the road, as well as dealing with them as they arise. If using a consultant to achieve this is the best route, so be it.
In regards to Melanie Ave, I think that turning it back to gravel is the best choice, although the residents there should be
allowed to have a say in the matter. If they feel strongly about resurfacing, I think that maybe they should pay more than
20% of the cost. The rest of the road maintenance schedule for the year looks good to me.
On the other two agenda items, I'm fine with the rest of the Council's decisions.
See you for the intenriews tomorrow,
Chris
