Re: Fire Ball Liquor License
Background:
The Scandia Firefighters Relief Association is planning to hold our annual Fire Ball this year on
February 22nd at the Scandia Community Center. This is the only fund raiser the Relief Association
has each year. Funds from this event are used to purchase clothing and gear for the individual
firefighters, events and it is also used to purchase items for the city that are not in the fire department
budget, but will make the job of firefighter safer and more efficient. Some items that have been
purchased are thermal cameras, auto accident cribbing, portion of SCBA, portable lights, Firefighter
memorial and many more items.
Staff Recommendation:
Staff recommends approving the temporary liquor license.
