List any governmental, service organizations, or professional activities which you have been or currently are
involved in:
I have been in residential real estate and property management for
19 years. I have worked with low income, market rate, and luxury
housing in my career. I am also Secretary on a Master Board for a
Home Owners Association in Forest Lake. In this role I help balance
the budget, keep our small team organized, and am in charge of
keeping records. Additionally, I currently manage 300+ apartments
and townhomes in Forest Lake and oversee all day to day activities,
purchasing, improvements, etc for a team of leasing, maintenance,
and cleaning professionals.
In college my focus was mathematics and statistics.
Since moving to Scandia I have fallen in love with this town and
community of wonderful people and I’d love to help out some of my
talents and expertise to good use for our community.
List any of your special interests, activities or hobbies which you have that would apply to this committee:
I play clarinet, tenor sax, and guitar, but mostly clarinet. I’ve been
learning to play bluegrass with some local musicians and have had a
great time. I love gardening, watercolor painting, interior design,
community building, cooking, and keeping myself educated. I’m also
a mom which is incredibly fulfilling.
In what volunteer activities have you participated? What was your role?
My husband and I host a once a month family fun night in Marine
and a lot of Scandia families have been attending - it’s always
wonderful to meet our neighbors and host crafts, dinner, and
sometimes music for the kids.
Previously I’ve been a race director for Highland Fest 5k, and also
helped MN Planetarium funding for the “new” Bell Museum.
