8.b Sheriff Deputy Yetter report - 4th quarterWASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE QUARTLERY REPORT-SCANDIA 4rd Quarter 2016 Statistics Deputy Brandon Yetter Total ICR’s-492 Total Citations/Warnings- 52 Accidents - 57 Burglary- 3 Theft- 10 Disturbance - 41 DWI- 2 Fraud- 8 Narcotics- 3 Vandalism- 3 Alarms-24 Medicals - 50 Conclusions/Trends: Over the last three months there have been 3 Burglaries in the Scandia area. One residence access was gained through an unlocked window and several guns were stolen out of the house when nobody was home. Second one was at a cabin that was broken into on two different occasions and nothing was taken. Several calls for suspicious vehicles around Scandia but none turned out to be burglary suspects or able to link to these calls. Keep on calling if anything is seen that is suspicious. As they winter begins so do all the accidents during this time of the year. Responded to several accidents as the winter and snowfall begins. Half of the accidents are related to hitting a deer. Most of those accidents do not get reported. Always remember to call the Sheriff’s office if you are involved in an accident even one that involves a deer. Another reminder to also call if someone wants a tag for a deer that has been hit by a vehicle and to not just take it home. Possession of that deer is against the law without a tag. This year the snow fall is significant enough for snowmobiles to be out enjoying the trails. If one chooses to ride in the ditch remember that you can only ride in the road right of way and not on the road side angle of the ditch. Also to ride on the right side of the road with traffic after sunset. There has been issues in the past of riding across private property and damaging crop fields. Remember to stay on the trails or in the right of way. A reminder for property owners that it is against the law to block the right or way with any kind of barrier like caution tape or saw horses to prevent snowmobiles from riding in the right of way is against the law and one can be held liable if injury occurs to the rider. During the last year there has been a huge issue of dogs running loose off their property. Issue have been killing chickens and other farm animals, killing deer, defecating on others property and being aggressive towards people and other pets. Remember if your dog is not on your property it has be leashed and under your control. If it is observed a citation will be issued and dog returned or picked up by animal control. 116047610 1:41:14 12/31/16 KIRK CT-Threating communication of safety 116047436 16:26:09 12/29/16 MELANIE TR – Warrant Arrest 116046801 10:15:22 12/23/16 OLDFIELD AV – Theft of personal property 116046792 8:57:52 12/23/16 MANNING TR – Drug Paraphernalia citation 116045913 9:07:24 12/16/16 189TH ST – Sudden death health related 116044893 5:00:37 12/08/16 OXBORO AV –Burglary, Several guns taken from residence 116044247 21:26:08 12/02/16 OLINDA TR – Accident w injuries, with power lines, individuals trapped 116041440 15:30:37 11/08/ PARRISH RD - Found Mail, Theft out of Chisago Co dumped on Parrish 116040184 9:36:40 10/30/16 OLINDA TR – Theft of money out of a purse, Scandia Creamery 116039834 16:12:17 10/27/16 185TH ST – Located stolen stripped wire insulation 116039818 14:27:19 10/27/16 SAINT CROIX TR – Stolen brush mower that was for sale on property 116038977 8:28:26 10/21/16 MAYBERRY TR – Stolen Vehicle 116038573 9:00:24 10/18/16 OLINDA TR – Search Warrant Narcotics found 116037483 12:56:51 10/09/16 MEADOWBROOK AV – Theft of deer stand 116037324 18:55:06 10/07/16 OLINDA TR – 2 Burglaries at his residence but nothing missing 116037047 20:09:52 10/05/16 OLINDA TR – Theft of political signs 116036544 15:46:35 10/01/16 205TH ST – Attempt to locate 2nd deg Assault suspect
