Business Breakfast Planning (April 9, 2025) — Dickens reported Kronmiller is not able to attend
after all, and will name a replacement for presenting in his place. Dickens contacted the Creamery,
and is waiting for a final decision if they can provide the breakfast. Dickens felt it was unlikely, and
will contact Ozark Tavern next, Meisters, and then Scandia Cafe. A gluten free option will be added,
and plan for 25 attendees. Staff will keep Dickens informed of the number of RSVP and invite the
principal of Scandia Elementary School if she has not already been included in the email invitation.
Lee and Moratzka will create the short survey for all attendees and Moratzka will handle introductions
at the event.
Collaborate with Marine Event — Lee reported sending more messages to the Marine Folk School,
and will now be able to follow up more intentionally, and Porubcansky suggested phone calls over
emails. Nothing new to report.
Community Wide Garage Sale Planning — Dickens reported the official resignation of Chrissi
Lason, the new appointment of Jaimin Brown, and requested Stignani read the final update email from
Larson regarding the Community Wide Garage Sale map.
I wasn't able to get in touch with anyone from the community that I've referenced. I also did poke
around to see what else is out there and primarily was finding apes in my search. They don't look
like they'd realjbe providing anything to ground breaking. My assumption is that to create a more
robust map, it would require some graphic design help.
Stignani reported meeting with Kronmiller to see options by Google Maps. Porubcansky suggested
that her volunteer is able to do anything, we just need to be specific with the request of what the
printable map will look like and what will be included. Staff with work out the specific details with
Porubcansky and open the registration as soon as possible.
Scandia Heritage Alliance June Event — Moratzka provided the history fast -pitch softball in and
around Scandia, and events being planned June 25`''-28`''. On behalf of SHA, Moratzka requested
volunteers from the Tourism Committee to facilitate activities during the tournament on June 27"' &
28`' and support by passing out programs or other needed tasks. Dickens, Lee, and Porubcansky
volunteered. Further discussion concluded the need for a button to identify members of the Tourism
Committee. Dickens to bring back future options to consider. Dickens volunteered also to support
SHA with social media outreach.
