Storage Changes
Dear Mayor and City Council members,
We do not believe changing the City Ordinance regarding allowing additional storage on Lakeshore
properties (RR-N) i.e. of additional vehicles, large RV's and Camping RV's is in the best interest of the
community or the quality of Big Marine Lake water.
Big Marine Lake property owners as well as CMSCWD, City, County, State, and Federal Agencies all
spend significant money to protect and improve lake water quality of Big Marine Lake. The additional
impervious surface vehicles and rapid runoff of potentially tainted water from these vehicles being
stored this close to the lake will no doubt have a negative impact on the scenic beauty of the area as well
as the lake's water quality!
We recommend dropping these suggested Ordinances changes would be the right thing for the water
quality of Big Marine Lake and the pristine BEAUTY of the lake.
