Staff Report1 Staff Report Date of Meeting: July 9, 2025 To: Capital Investment Committee Members From: Kyle Morell, City Administrator Re: Staff Report ______________________________________________________________________________ InputID Comments InputID went live mid-June, and the City received 12 comments in the first week of the site being live. No comments have been received since. A list of the comments is attached. All comments were received on the general City page; no comments were made on the 5-year master plan page. We did receive a few comments regarding roads and traffic concerns. None of them are on our current street improvement project list. Only one comment was for a City street, Pilar, which is gravel. The other comments pertained to the Oakhill and 97 intersection and the 97 and 95 intersection. CIP Worksheets I have updated the CIP spreadsheets for 2026. The Summary worksheet is not complete. I have not yet begun work on the 2026 operating budget, so the first page of the worksheets provides an estimate of future expenses, rather than actual expenses. The 401-408 Funds show planned capital expenses in 2026 and beyond. I have decided to redo these funds and will provide you with updated spreadsheets next week. I am separating the Public Works Department from the Fire Department. In the future, the 406 Fund will be used for all public works vehicles and equipment, the 410 Fund will be used for all fire department vehicles and equipment, and the 412 Fund will be used for the Public Safety Building and its grounds. This will enable the 401 Fund to support a city-wide project and the City Hall/Community Center grounds. I am working on making these changes to the spreadsheets and will have an updated one for you next week. Attachments: InputID Comments CIP Worksheets
