Re: Employee Service Awards
The Scandia City Council adopted an Employee Recognition Policy in 2007 which provides for
service anniversary awards to eligible employees.
SERVICE ANNIVERSARY AWARDS
Employees shall be presented with a plaque recognizing their years of service at the completion
of ten (10) years of service and upon every five years of additional service thereafter.
The following employees are eligible to receive service anniversary awards:
• 10-year Service Award to Maintenance Worker Rick Regnier – hired June 2015
• 10-year Service Award to Fire Chief Mike Hinz – appointed to Fire Chief in July 2013
• 20-year Service Award to City Clerk Brenda Eklund – hired October 2004
Mayor Steve Kronmiller will present service award plaques to Rick, Mike, and Brenda at the
July 15, 2025 City Council meeting.
