Subject: Welcome Letters
The Committee discussed ways to determine when properties have sold so that a letter can be
sent to welcome them to the City, introduce the website, and highlight the business directory.
There was also discussion about reaching out to local businesses to participate in a welcome
letter. Since the meeting, EDA President Steve Kronmiller and Treasurer Veronica Korby have
worked out how to identify properties that have been sold, versus properties that have changed
ownership but stayed within the family.
Staff has not drafted a letter at this time, and I have not had any conversations with local
businesses. These items can be discussed this month.
