Subject:Fw: Big Marine Vehicle Storage Amendment
My family and I are owners on Big Marine Lake (since 1949). We think the proposed limits on vehicle storage
are far too high. If people can afford to own seven large vehicles, surely they can afford to store them at
appropriate sites away from our lakeshores.

Subject: Big Marine Vehicle Storage Amendment
IMPORTANT NOTICE...FYI
City of Scandia lakeshore owners:
As you may know the City of Scandia has been considering modifying allowable vehicle storage on the rear (non-
lakeside) of lakeshore property. There have been extensive discussions and several modifications to this proposed
change. The latest Amendment version includes provisions for lot size which reduces the potential for high vehicle
storage density on smaller lots, it does allow parking up to seven (LRV+RCV) recreational vehicles on one acre and
larger lots. There are some screening and other requirements, but this is an increase and may be something you
support or you may think the revision allows too many or too few. If these changes are adopted they become
City Code you and/or your neighbor(s) will be allowed to park the described number of
recreational vehicles on Big Marine lots.
LRC RCV
Lot Size Large Recreation Vehicle Recreation Camping Vehicles

Less that 0.25 Acres 1 1
0.26 Acres to 0.5 Acres 2 1
0.51 Acres to 0.75 Acres 3 1

1.0 Acres and larger 5 2
Boats, boat docks, and boat lifts are not included in the total number of LRV or RCV permitted....nor are personal
vehicles with current tabs; cars, trucks, vans etc. Up to four Motor Vehicles or the number of licensed drivers that
reside on a property, whichever number is greater, may also be parked on Riparian lots.
