Roads and Right – of - way
There were eight wintery events in which staff de-iced the roads or plowed.
4 events were snow and 4 events were a winter mix of rain, freezing rain, ice
pellets and snow.
Abrasives were added to Pilar Rd. and other gravel roads 11 times.
Residents were notified of ROW clearing to occur on the streets of Oxboro
Ave. / Ln.., Nolan, 240th, 236th, Meadowbrook, 230th. When we have enough
trees removed to warrant the rental of a chipper, we will rent one.
Brush mowing in the ditches and ROW clearing with saws
General maintenance on vehicles and three minor repairs
Hoist installed on the one ton truck for lifting heavy road maintenance
equipment on and off the vehicle.
Truck and Mower quotes from vendors
Wreaths removed and stored away
Fallen tree removal from the ROW
Sewer – Water:
Sewer samples for January 2017 were taken from Bliss 3 and taken to the
testing lab. DMR submitted (discharge monitoring report)
Uptown Monthly water meter reading were completed
Monthly Amp readings completed on Lift Stations
Pumped down three manholes in the Bliss system that should not have had
water / sediment in them – further investigation is in process.

Parks:
Vinter Fest - signs set up and tear down– all other set ups completed per
requests from the organizers.
Attended the Park Commissions meeting
Rink Maintenance continued – resurfacing, Zamboni repairs, board repairs
prior to Vinter Fest.
Other:
Preparing documents for dust control bidding
Monthly maintenance / safety checks done – emergency lights, fire
extinguishers, chains, hoist, ladders, eye wash stations and showers.
Community Center X-mas tree put away for the year.
New heat tape installed above the main entrance at the Community Ctr.
Sink Valves replaced, toilet repairs – Comm. Ctr.
Vacuum and de-icing salt for Comm. Ctr. Purchased
DNR water aerator installed – 1-13-17 Goose Lake
