06.d Funding Request for Cinnamon Bun Day 2025 Scandia’s Cinnamon Bun Day

To celebrate the Swedish traditfon of Cinnamon Bun Day, we respectiully request
funding of $400 from Scandia’s City Council. This will be the eighth year of this
much-loved event started by Lynne Moratzka, Christfne Maefsky, and Lynnette
Welsch. Funding is also being requested from the Scandia-Marine Lions,
Gammelgården Museum, and the Scandia Sister City Council. The funding will
purchase 900 frozen, raw cinnamon buns, along with bags and labels
acknowledging all contributors. All labor will be volunteer. The cinnamon buns
will be distributed to passengers in vehicles at the intersectfon of Oakhill Road and
Olinda Trail on October 3rd from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. They will also be taken to
local businesses, the teachers and staff at Scandia Elementary School, seniors
living at The Cottages, and distributed at Gammelgarden.
