CITY OF SCANDIA
RESOLUTION NO. 10-21-25-04
ACCEPTING A CASH DONATION FROM THE GREG AND MARY BENSON
CHARITABLE FUND OF THE ST. CROIX VALLEY FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, the St. Croix Valley Foundation has as a mission to enhance the quality of
life in the St. Croix Valley through philanthropic donations, thereby helping people invest in the
causes they care about; and
WHEREAS, the Greg and Mary Benson Charitable Fund of the St. Croix Valley
Foundation has made a generous cash donation of $3,000.00 to the Scandia Fire Department and
for maintenance of the Bruce and Janet Swenson Memorial Shelter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SCANDIA, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA:
That it should and hereby does accept the donation of $3,000.00 from the Greg and Mary Benson
Charitable Fund of the St. Croix Valley Foundation; and
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council extends its thanks and
appreciation to Greg and Mary Benson on behalf of all of the citizens of Scandia, for their
generous donation to our community.
Adopted by the Scandia City Council this 21st day of October, 2025.
