Re: Mike Frank Resignation
Background:
Mike Frank joined the department on 06/01/2012. Mike has given his resignation to be effective on
10/10/25. I had talked to Mike about his attendance percentage and he determined that his current
time availability does not align with the fire department needs. I have attached his letter for your
review.
Staff Recommendation:
Staff recommends accepting Mike Frank’s resignation effective as of 10/10/2025.

Chief Hines,
I am writing this letter to follow up on a conversation that we had several weeks back.
After much consideration and reflection, I have come to the difiicult decision to resign from my
position as a Fire Fighter/EMT at Scandia Fire and Rescue effective immediately. I want to
express my sincere gratitude for the support and opportunities provided to me during my time at
Scandia Fire and Rescue. It has been an honor to serve as a Fire Fighter/EMT and be a part of
such a dedicated and hardworking team. During my time here, I have had the privilege of
working with some of the most amazing colleagues and have learned valuable skills and
knowledge that I will carry with me throughout my life. I am proud to have been part of the
Scandia Fire Department ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. It has been a
fulfilling experience to be able to help others and make a positive impact in people's lives. I will
miss the camaraderie and teamwork that I have experienced, However, I belief it is time to part
ways.
