2019 EDA Work Plan
EDA President Kronmiller presented a Work Plan that was completed by the Scandia EDA in
2019. Some of the items on the plan have been completed, while others require updates. This
item will be added to the October agenda, along with the roles and responsibilities worksheets
presented at the joint EDA / Tourism meeting to help the EDA determine future goals.
Sale of City Merchandise
Trademarking the city’s logo will cost between $3,000 and $5,000. The Board determined that
the cost was not worth it if local businesses are already selling Scandia merchandise. The next
steps will be to set up the online shop and order merchandise that can be displayed at the
Business Expo, so that any local business interested in selling our merchandise can view what is
available. The City will work to inform all who wish to purchase City merchandise that proceeds
from the sales will be reinvested in the Community.
Next meeting has been scheduled: Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 6:30 PM
Motion to adjourn made at 7:54 p.m. by Chavis and seconded by Smith. Motion carried
unanimously.
Respectfully submitted by:
Kyle Morell, EDA Executive Director
