Background
City Council approved Public Works’ request to hire one Lead Rink Attendant at the rate of $15.50/hour at the
September 16, 2025 City Council meeting. Traditionally, staff contacts past employees for filling the staffing
needs. Ian Schaefer responded to staff’s inquiry that he would fill this role after many years of serving Scandia
as an Ice Rink Attendant.
