Action Requested: Set the date for a special meeting for a public hearing on the
Comprehensive Plan.
Deadline/ Timeline: N/A
Background: • The Comprehensive Plan Committee has recommended dates for a
public meeting (Thursday, August 21 ) and a public hearing
(Thursday. September 18) on the new Comprehensive Plan.
• The public hearing will he held by the Planning Commission.
This would also be an official City Council meeting.
• Both meetings would be held in the Community Center Flail.
Recommendation: 1 recommend that a Commission and Council set a special meeting for
Thursday. September 18. 2008 at 7:00 p.m. for the public hearing on
the Comprehensive Plan.
