NOTICE OF SPECIAL PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
TO CONDUCT SITE VISITS
NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Scandia,
Washington County, Minnesota, will hold a special meeting on Monday, August 4, 2008
beginning at 6:00 p.m. CDT to visit the sites and gather information concerning the following
requests that will come before the Commission at its August 5, 2008 regular meeting:
• Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Closer to the Road Right-of-Way than the
Principal Structure
Location: 12445 235th Street North
Applicant: Ross and Marta Nelson
(on site approximately 6:15 p.m.)
• Variances including Lot Size and Setbacks to Construct a New Single-Family Dwelling
Location: 19107 Layton Avenue North
Applicant: Tom and Lisa Stanek
(on site approximately 6:50 p.m.)
• Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Closer to the Road Right-of-Way than the
Principal Structure
Location: 14440 Old Marine Trail
Applicant: Mark and Colleen Kaiser
(on site approximately 7:30 p.m.)
• Amended Conditional Use Permit to Allow a Sand Volleyball Court
Location: Meister's Bar and Grill, 14808 Oakhill Road North
Applicant: Scot and Courtney Taylor
(on site approximately 8:00 p.m.)
The site visit is an official Planning Commission meeting and is therefore open to the public.
The Planning Commission will meet in the Scandia Community Center parking lot (14717 209111
St. N.) at 6:00 p.m. Interested citizens may meet at the Community Center at that same time and
drive along with commissioners. Owners and applicants are also invited to meet at the sites.
