Mayor Kronmiller and Scandia Council Members:
The Carnelian Marine Saint Croix Watershed District plays a vital role protecting Big Marine Lake
and the surrounding watershed. Their work directly affects the water quality, property values
and recreational enjoyment for residents on the lake and off. Big Marine Lake Association works
closely with the Watershed, partnering with them on some of their programs. Four of the
Watershed Manager candidates are supporting members of BMLA. Their support over the years
demonstrates a commitment to the lake, an important characteristic for a Watershed Board
Manager. The BMLA Board encourages the Council to support the nomination of these four:
Eric Boyles, Sam Divita, Kim Hough and Mark Marotzke
