Dear Mayor Kronmiller and Scandia City Council Members:
This letter regards the pending selection of a new Manager for the CMSCWD Board of
Managers. I (or family) have owned a property on Big Marine Lake since 1959, and I have been a
year-around resident since 2001.
I have the privilege of knowing Eric Boyles and Sam DiVita as Big Marine neighbors and good
friends for several years. Both individuals have applied for the CMSCWD Manager position. Since
the applications they have submitted no doubt cover their qualifications related to background
and experiences, I simply wish to add some personal comments. I am very confident that both of
these individuals will do what I feel is important to the future of a very high quality lake.
They know the importance of the excellent work done by the CMSCWD to protect and improve
the quality of Big Marine and other waters in the watershed. They understand why CMSCWD acts
as it does. They are concerned about the environment and the importance of quality of our
waters. They are knowledgeable and inquisitive. And, lastly, they are willing to take on
responsibilities and to work hard to fulfill those responsibilities.
Either Eric or Sam will do an excellent job as a CMSCWD Manager.
