Roads and Right — of - way
➢ Two winter events occurred in which staff de-iced the roads or plowed. One of the events
was refreeze of roads after a rain event
➢ Abrasives were added to Pilar Rd. and other gravel roads 3 times.
➢ ROW clearing continued on % of 196th, Nolan corner, Newgate, Lakamaga, Maxwill,
Layton, Langley, Ostrum, Quinnel, 2381h,228th between Meadowbrook / Lofton
➢ Tree calls from high winds- trees on the road - 205th, Oakhill Way, Pomroy, Lilleskogen,
Comm. Ctr. — hockey rink
➢ General maintenance on vehicles and equipment- ROW mower repair.
➢ Patching: Oxboro, Oakhill, 228th, 191St, 238tH, 1.5 ton of cold mix used
➢ Street light along Olinda Repaired by St. Paul Staff — Struck by something
➢ Installed culvert delineators at 2301h and Meadowbrook and Meadowbrook and Melanie,
Straightening up sign posts along route to install delineators
➢ Sign repair and temp at 191St , ordering new signs with the other signs for the seal coat
areas
➢ Road striping list sent to Washington County to share in the bidding process
➢ Tires replaced on the patching trailer and metal recycled - $80+ for metal
➢ Langley outlet — remove some pushed up soil 19203 Langley from lake ice
Sewer — Water:
➢ Sewer samples for March 2017 were taken, along with Quarterly samples - Bliss 3, 4
uptown and submitted. DMR submitted (discharge monitoring report) Amp testing on
all systems.
➢ Lift station #3 — Check valves are not working properly. There is back flow and
recirculation occurring. Getting Quotes on repairs
➢ Uptown Monthly water meter readings were completed
➢ Two lift station alarms — High temps. Related to Lift Station #3 issues
➢ Bliss drain field — repaired what stand pipes we could and created a list of maint.
materials to bring the field back up to standards
➢ Sludge Judge Uptown system
➢ Cross training on how to perform draw -down testing on the lift stations — all staff
➢ One emergency locate — 5 total locate requests for the month
Parks:
➢ Repaired bleachers at the South Ballfield — more work needs to done on the other field
benches
➢ Loose back stop posts at the softball field will need to be repaired by a fence co. with a
lift and boom
➢ STS has been in contact with the city and will be doing some brush removal at
Lilleskogan
➢ Rink cleaned of leaves and some of the skate board equipment has been set in place
➢ Bolens tractor used for dragging the ballfields has been serviced and is ready for use
➢ Rodent treatment on ballfields
➢ Warming house cleaned up and shut down — more maintenance and cleaning on a rain -
day this summer — nets stored inside
➢ Started clean-up of perennials at City Hall, fire station, the Hay Lake Monument
Other:
➢ Monthly maintenance/ safety checks done —emergency lights, fire extinguishers,
chains, hoist, ladders, eye wash stations and showers.
➢ Safety training 3-8-17 —Monthly training through Safe Assure —Tree trimming
Operations, Chippers, Proper lifting and ergonomics, Ladder safety, cranes, chains and
sling review
➢ Removed signs and aerator from Goose Lake
➢ Garage door repairs to PW building
➢ New Heater installed in the PW building
➢ Changed all the clock times at City Hall — Council Chambers done by anonymous
personnel — Thank you
➢ Moved tables and chairs for the waxing of the Comm. Ctr. newer addition area
