Action Requested: Set dates for future work sessions on the Development Code Update.
Deadline! Timeline: N/A
Background: • After the Commission and Council have completed discussion of
the zoning district tables and zoning maps, the topics of future
work sessions will include:
• Development options (lot averaging, open space conservation
subdivisions (OSCS), planned unit development (PUD) etc.)
• Subdivision regulations
Development standards/ performance standards

Complete draft of code for public review
• We expect that there will continue to be time at regularly
scheduled Planning Commissions for work sessions, but it would
be helpful to schedule some additional dates.
• A partial 2010 calendar (March through June) is attached. Dates
when other City meetings are scheduled or when consultants will
not be available are identified.
Recommendation: I recommend that the Commission and Council select at least one or
two dates for workshop meetings on the Development Code.
