Re: Relief Donation
Background:
The Scandia Firefighters Relief Has donated $3,900.00 to cover cost of directional boring from the front of the
fire station out to the front sign for future power to the sign for lighting and path lighting of the firefighter memorial.
Fire & Public Works were already in the process to of directional boring to the cold storage to supply a data
cable for door access and future cameras and to the front sign to supply power for events and also possibly supply water
for maintenance.
Issue:
Should the City Council accept the donation of $3,900.00 from the relief association?
Proposal Details:
The Lines have been bored to both locations. We are also requesting that the budget line items be amended
to show the proceeds from the donation.
Fiscal Impact:
Accepting the donation will save the city ~$3,900.00 that would have had to be spent to complete this
project.
Options:
(1) Accept the donation of $3,900.00 from the Scandia firefighter relief.
(2) Decline the donation.
Recommendation:
Option (1).
