Subject: Rick Regnier Retirement
Background:
With great respect to Rick Regnier, I have the honor to announce his retirement from the City
of Scandia Public Works Department. He has applied his skills, knowledge and commitment to
the City of Scandia for 12 years. In that time, there have been many changes and challenges
along the way but he remained dedicated in his position and advocated humbly for his co-
workers.
Rick’s 12 years of service to the community included many milestones and positive public
engagement. He has demonstrated to all of us his commitment to public service, especially for
the City of Scandia.
Issue:
Rick has submitted his final day of employment with the City of Scandia to be January 4thth,
2027. With the stated retirement, Public Works requests consent from Council to post for an
open position within the department.
Option:
1) Approve the final date of employment, in good standing, of January 4th, 2027 for Rick
Regnier and begin advertising an open position in the Public Works Department .
Recommendation:
Option 1
