July 21, 2026
A Special Meeting of the Scandia City Council was held on the above date in the Scandia
Community Center City Council Chambers. The purpose of the meeting was to interview
applicants for the open Comfort Lake Forest Lake Watershed District Board seat.
Mayor Steve Kronmiller called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m. The following were in
attendance: Councilmembers Jim Gribble and Kirsten Libby, Jerry Cusick, Mike Lubke and
Mayor Steve Kronmiller. Staff present: City Administrator Kyle Morell
INTERVIEW APPLICANTS FOR WATERSHED BOARD VACANCIES
Interviews were conducted with Blake Roberts and Steve Schmaltz. The Washington County
Board of Commissioners makes the final appointment to the Watershed Board. The City
Council interviewed candidates to determine which candidate would receive a recommendation
from the Council.
The Council tabled its discussion to its regular meeting later in the evening.
ADJOURNMENT
Gribble, seconded by Lubke, moved to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0.
The meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
