8.f Public Works Staff Report - June 2017Public Works Staff Report – May 2017 Roads and Right – of - way  Patching: Oxboro, Old Marine, Lakamaga, Meadowridge, Meadow Brook, Maxwill, Mayberry Tr., Nolan, Oak Hill  Contractor Spray Patching – Fahrner - 202nd : RMC - Pomroy, Pickett, 240th, PW shop  ROW mowing finished 1st round  LHL – re-established rock dams, cleaned out silt  Road side shouldering - washouts  Gravel roads compacted as we add gravel  Driveway abutting overlays were amended – Oak Hill and Meadow Brook  Penfield ditched and gravel added – 80 ton  Tree removal – ROW storm damage – 6-11-17/ 3 trees, 6-12-17/ 5 trees, 6-14-17 / 1 tree called in – two found  Larkspur - 19156 - uncover culverts – Cleared them of debris with fire truck pumper  Sign clearing – tree branches and brush ½ completed  Posts and signs ordered for the 2017 season Sewer – Water:  Sewer samples for June 2017 were taken at Bliss and Uptown  May ’17 DMR completed  Uptown Monthly water meter readings completed  Uptown pumped down (supposed to be done every 3 years) and aerator system investigated – Eco POD damaged – checking with general contractor on details of the system and lid warranty  Drain fields mowed  5 alarms – two call outs  19 Gopher State One Call locate requests  Valves switched at the Bliss drain field and sand field to allow others to rest Parks:  Buckthorn control of re-sprouting in areas where removed this spring - 3rd treatment  Monthly Playground Insp. / Skate Park Insp.  Lighted field - Bleachers painted by volunteers – on going  Hay Lake - old stumps – trip hazards removed, volunteers weeded landscape beds and mulched them  Hay Lake Monument – weeded and mulched  WIP – Additional signage added – no further recommendations made by Parks Commission – Staff requested Park Comm. members go out to look at the signage  Seasonal staff is 27 days into the 67 day appointment Other:  Monthly maintenance / safety checks done – emergency lights, fire extinguishers, chains, hoist, ladders, eye wash stations and showers – Olsen Chain did the annual crane inspection  Burned brush pile north of PW / Fire station – Permitted and coordinated with Mike H., Fire Chief  Flags up for the 4th of July  Fat Cat Race preparations
