Staff Vinterfest suggestion to Parks commission:
A picture of the current Vinterfest signs is attached. The signs are now several
years old, have smudge marks, and are fadding. Staff believes that the signs
would be much more effective if they had a color scheme that didn't match the
Minnesota snowy back drop. One suggestion is red lettering with a blue ourline or
vise versa. Another thought is to have 4 signs so the event is advertised on the
four entances to the city.
These suggestions are being brought forward are to promote an early discussion
of possible changes. Extra expenditures may require a request to council for
funding unless Cory would be willing to supply new signs.
