8.f Public Works Staff Report - Sept. 2017Public Works Staff Report – September 2017 Roads and Right – of - way  Patching - all compacted with the roller – Nolan, Mayberry, Meadowbrook, 188th, 199th,182nd, Oren off 97, City Hall back drive  Shouldering of roads – Newgate, 188th, Nolan, City Hall, Quality, Ozark, 220th ,  Trees – 2 – fallen on road calls  Sign and post assembly – 3 left to do for the year, 30 MPH sign re- installed on Odell – All old signs removed with the exception of the 3  Gravel – Quint ,197th - blading and rolling  ROW – Mowing completed 10’ off the road  Dead animal removals - 2  Contractors – road striping should be completed by mid-October, spray patching is almost complete Sewer – Water:  September and October sewer samples were taken at Bliss  September Monthly DMR completed  Uptown Monthly water meter readings completed, sludge judges completed – Church was the only one that was recommended for pumping  Uptown aerator system – Muffled motor temporarily until new motor in 2018  Samples and coordination for land applications on the Nickelson farm is occurring  Drain fields mowed last time for the year  201- Three hasps and locks replaced on pump tanks on Bliss system, added a riser to one pump tank AE system  PW Director passed Class IV applicators licensing for land application of bio-solids  Alarms – no call outs – Lift station #1 Pump one needs replacing – the task is being coordinated  20 Gopher State One Call locate requests Parks:  Ball field mowing – 2 times  Ball field dragging – 3 times – once for Taco Daze  Tennis court preparations – Taco Daze  Sand added to playground – City Hall – Kicked out under swings  Monthly safety checks done on playgrounds and skate park  CPSI exam PW director passed – Certified for 3 more years  Ordering age appropriate sign for City Hall playground  Brush blading down tall weeds and volunteer trees at Lilleskogen NW corner  PT seasonal at 54 days – Last day is 10-6-17  Started to clean the ice rink concrete – lighten the N end to help prevent thawing  Evaluation of rink boards – materials needed  WIP: check – brush blockade still in place. Another sign missing. “NO River Access” sign ordered for the parking lot Other:  Watercooler replaced and wall restored – City Hall  Blocks for storage bins were installed at the shop – keep materials organized and separated - Blocks were free
