8.f October Public Works Staff ReportPublic Works Staff Report – October 2017 Roads and Right – of - way  Patching – 209th, 195th, Lakamaga, Kirk  Shouldering of roads – 220th, City Hall, Nolan  Trees – 1 – sawed and moved by citizen – 220th  Signs – 2017 – done – list for sale is on the website  Gravel – 197th, LHL - Final grading completed  ROW – Culverts being replaced 197th – In as of 11-2-17  ROW mowing completed for 2017  Contractors – road striping – completed, tree / brush removal 197th,  Winter – All plow trucks ready to go, New Western Star is in service, Old slide in sander needs repairs – parts ordered  First salt order is placed - $61.12 / ton vs. $73.53 last year - surplus on suppliers end Sewer – Water:  October sewer samples were taken at Bliss  September Monthly DMR completed  Uptown Monthly water meter readings completed  Waiting for the farmer to harvest - land apply Bliss septage  201 – Bliss – two calls on home alarms and one on Lift station #1  201- Bliss – One hasp and locks replaced, three risers installed, two alarm issues on home systems addressed  201 Bliss – Lift station 1 – pump1 – running intermittently – new pump is ordered  201 – AE – Pumping is completed on those required per the Sludge Judge testing  24 Gopher State One Call locate requests Parks:  Ball field mowing – Short before winter  Ball field infields – Back dragged to define edge  Sand added to playground – City Hall  Monthly safety checks done on playgrounds and skate park  Sign purchased / installed Playground Safety sign - City Hall playground  Playground sign for City Hall playground – arrived – install next week  Rink board renovations complete  Skateboard Park equipment stored for the winter  Trash cans with trash service stored for the winter  Rink concrete cleaned on the N. end - better for sustaining ice  Woodchips added at Lilleskogen Park – Infiltration bay –W. side  Sign arrived for “No River Access” for WIP – Installated  Zamboni has been serviced for the upcoming season and needed repairs have been made  Heat tested in warming house and water softener started up – new weather stripping on door bottoms installed Other:  Stove maintenance kitchen – City Hall  Emergency light repairs – City Hall  Outlet repairs – City Hall  Furnace repairs – City Hall  New screen installed – City Hall  New garage door weather trim installed - Public Works  Contractors – Furnace repairs City Hall, light repairs cold storage
