7.b) Chair Comments Regarding Lilleskogen PlanThe Lilleskogen park restoration plan and strategic plan are included, along with a proposal by the
"Friends" for maintenance of the butterfly gardens section of that park.
Please review these documents. All documents can be found at Lilleskogen Plan from Scandia Website
Specific to the 2008 Park Restoration plan, it is a long document. I recommend starting with section V
for an overview and if pressed for time. Good detail precedes it.

How do we approach this?
Key issues:
With the picnic shelter, could this be combined to a picnic
• What is the best use of this space by the community? Is this a nature park, intended for
restoration of original natural vegetation, or larger than that, with community usage opportunity?
Is the 2008 plan the guiding document, or do we need updates?
• Who provides input? Various constituents include the school, the Friends, Lions, PRC and city
council, the community at large. Others? How do we gather that input?
• What funding is available? Note there are grant sources at the end of the restoration plan
document.
• How do we update it?
• Do we need a separate sub -committee to address, gather input, and make updates for
recommendations to the city council? This material is likely beyond the scope of a regular
monthly PRC meeting.
