Re: Survey Results for Skating Programs
Shortly after the conclusion of our after-school skating programs, a brief on-line survey was
provided to parents. Following are the results:
Learn to Skate program (21 surveys were sent; 4 responses received)
How did you learn about this program? Friend (2), Flyer (1), Facebook (1)
Please rate the instructor on the following qualities:
Knowledgeable: Excellent (4)
Communication with parents: Excellent (3), Average (1)
Class organization: Excellent (3), Average (1)
Care and interest in participants: Excellent (2), Above Average (1)
Kept participants safe: Excellent (3), Below Average (1)
Made the classes fun: Excellent (4)
Comments: A boy named Hunter kept purposely knocking kids over and hurting them. It kept
happening even after the teacher was notified. (1)

General condition of the facility: Excellent (1), Average (1)
Cleanliness of the facility: No responses
Safety of the facility: Above average (1), Average (1)
Adequate staff level: Excellent (1), Above average (1), Average (1)
What did you like most about the program? My kids loved it and learning to skate. (1)
What would you like to see changed or added to the program? Better communication with class
cancellations. I had to call to find out. Better supervision so my kids weren’t getting hurt by
others as mentioned above. (1)
What day would you prefer the program be held? Tuesday (3), Wednesday (2), Thursday (1)
What are your expectations of the program once your child completes the class?
Learning the basics of skating: 2

What did you like most about the program? This program was the highlight of my kids’ winter.
They are already talking about when they go next year.
What would you like to see changed or added to the program? A few more adults. Some days
the kids seem to be roaming wild due to the adult-to-child ratio out on the ice. That said, every
adult out there really seemed to care about the kids.
What day would you prefer the program be held? Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,
Saturday
What are your expectations of the program once your child completes the class?

This is a wonderful program overall and I am so pleased my children were able to participate in
it.
