Re: Selection of Chair and Vice Chair for 2014
Background:
Ordinance 91 provides that the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Parks and
Recreation Committee are appointed by the Commission from among the members of the
Commission, subject to approval by the Council, for a term of one year. Furthermore, the
bylaws of the Parks and Recreation Committee provide that election of officers will be held
at the first meeting of February of each year.
The Chairperson in 2013 was Greg Zauner and the Vice Chairperson was Matt Rasmussen.
Issue:
Who should be the Chair and Vice Chair in 2014?
Proposal Details/Options:
The Committee can select from the following for Chair or Vice Chair for 2014:
Alex Bildeaux, Matt Rasmussen, Greg Zauner, Brad Borg or Ryan Jinks.
Fiscal Impact:
Not applicable.
Recommendation:
Motion should be made to make a recommendation on Chair and Vice Chair of the Parks
and Recreation Committee for 2014.
