6.b) Staff Report-Recreation Programs Survey STAFF REPORT Date of Meeting: January 6, 2014 To: Parks and Recreation Committee From: Judi Negus, Office Assistant Re: Recreation Programs Survey Background: This past summer, we offered 17 recreational programs. Of those 17, six classes were cancelled due to low enrollment. At a previous meeting, the Committee suggested a survey should be developed to gather feedback from the public about the recreation programs we have offered and possible future programs to offer. It appears a survey has not been sent out for several years. Issue: Does the survey provide sufficient information to gather valuable feedback and should it be sent home with all Scandia Elementary students? Proposal Details: The survey is limited to one page in hopes of getting the most feedback. It includes information that will be helpful determining the age range of potential participants. Included in the survey is feedback for the programs that we have offered the past several years and asks for suggestions for interest in new programs. Also included is an opportunity to provide recommendations for instructors. Options: 1. Approve the survey. 2. Modify and approve the survey. 3. Do not approve the survey. Fiscal Impact: There is no fiscal impact. Recommendation: Recommend #2 after Committee input.
