Re: Park Volunteer Activities
Background:
In the past, the Parks and Recreation Committee would identify volunteer n eeds at Scandia
parks and organize volunteer days to complete those tasks. Janie O’Connor has been
coordinating the funding and plan for the implementation of a butterfly garden at Lilleskogen
park and has been soliciting volunteers.
Issue:
What are the volunteer needs at our parks?
Proposal Details:
The Committee should determine what volunteer tasks are needed at our parks. Once the
needs are determined, the Committee should decide how to execute the volunteer tasks. All
volunteers need to complete a volunteer In-Kind Donation Form.
Fiscal Impact:
None.
Recommendation:
1) Determine what our volunteer needs are at Scandia parks.
2) If necessary, prioritize our volunteer needs.
