7.b) Scandia Programs 2014 Scandia Programs 2014 through Camp Lakamaga Outdoor Explorers Day Camp Grades: 1-5 Description: Come out to Camp Lakamaga and have a great day camp experience! We offer swimming, kayaking, fishing, biking, archery, art and nature projects, adventure course, fitness course and more! Campers are provided lunch and snacks each day. Min/Max Enrollment 5/20 Location: Camp Lakamaga Time: 8:30 am - 5 pm * Cost: $140 Lakamaga 80%= $112 Dates: (Session 1) June 23-June 27 Deadline: June 13 (Session 2) July 21-July 25 Deadline: July 11 (Session 3) August 11-August 15 Deadline: August 1 *Last day of camp will end at 3 p.m. on Friday for all three sessions. Junior Explorers Day Camp Grades: K-3 Description: Not ready to spend the whole day at camp? Then join us for a fun-filled half-day experience at Camp Lakamaga. Once you have the basics down, have fun shooting at the targets to see how many points you can score! Dress for the outdoors and wear closed toed shoes. Parents who would also like to learn more about the sport of archery are welcome to register and participate as well with your child. Min/Max Enrollment 3/10 Location: Camp Lakamaga Time: 9 am - 11 am Cost: $14 Lakamaga 80% = $11.20 Dates: July 7 and July 9 Deadline: June 27 Robin Hood & Maid Marion Archers Grades: 3-6 Description: Learn the basics and then further explore the different types of bows. Practice shooting compound and traditional bows at different distances. Master traditional targets and take on some 3-D life-like animal targets to hone skills and add a little fun! Dress for the outdoors and wear closed toed shoes. Parents who would also like to learn more about the sport of archery are welcome to register and participate as well with your child. Min/Max Enrollment 3/10 Location: Camp Lakamaga Time: 9 am - 11 am Cost: $14 Lakamaga 80% =$11.20 Dates: July 28 and July 30 Deadline: July 18 Tennis Camp Grades: K-6 Description: Each class includes individual and group instruction designed to match a player’s skill level. For the younger players, simple drills and games will teach players to handle ground strokes and volley with partners. Older players will play in single or double matches and work on consistency and strategies so players will be more efficient. Min/Max Enrollment 6/12 Location: Community Center Time: 9:15 am - 10:15 am (for K-2) and 10:30 am - 11:30 am (for grades 3-6) Cost: $30 per session Dates: (Session 1) To Be Determined (Session 2) To Be Determined Skateboard Camp Grades: 2-6 Description: This camp will focus on learning new skills, safety and camaraderie. Each lesson includes instruction on how to improve skills and can also cover specific tricks each skater wishes to learn. Bring a water bottle and helmet, as well as a fully functional skateboard.
