Scandia Parks and Recreation Committee (PRC) invites area businesses and individuals to join
supporters of Vinterfest 2015 in celebrating Scandia’s diverse parks and trails system.

This year’s line-up of activities, for all ages and abilities! Sami Costumes are Encouraged!
• Scanley Cup Hockey Tournament (Sponsored by Roberts Family Funeral Home and Forest Lake Floral,
Gift and Garden)
• Second Annual Lilletour and QuizPromenade, at the Gammelgården Museum
• Family Activities, at the Scandia Community Center (Clogging, Snow Sculpture Contest…)
• Children’s Skating Performance by Candlelight (Friday Evening),
and All-Community Pleasure Skating (all day Saturday)
• Live Reindeer, Free Skis and Snow Shoes (Joe’s Outdoors), Sami Exhibition (Gammelgården
Välkommen Hus, and Scandia Elementary School), Sami Merchandise, and Book Signing—"The
Christmas Wish," Anja and her reindeer by Lori Evert, Photos by Per Breiehagen, at the Gammelgården
Butik.
• Luminary Loppet, Glüg and Fondue Benefit Party: Friday Evening 7–10 p.m. *
at Scandia Community Center, Gammelgården Museum, and Lilleskogen Park.
• Children’s Skating Performance by Candlelight
• A Luminary-lit Winter Walk through Gammelgården and Lilleskogen Park
• Followed by Glüg, Traditional Swedish Blåbärssoppa, Local Beers, Chocolate and Cheese
Fondue, and Music, at the Community Center–Transformed to Winter Wonder and Warmth!
* There is a fee for this event to benefit the Scandia Veterans Memorial, and Lilleskogen Park. Sponsors
include: Scandia Merch and Grocery, Gammelgården Museum and many more!
