Deadline/ Timeline: • Terms on the Planning Commission and Park and Recreation Committee expire Feb. 1, 2009 • Other appointments will be made at the upcoming Annual Meeting on Jan. 20, 2009 Background: • One Planning Commission term (Peter Schwarz) and one Park and Recreation Committee term (Dan Skupien) will expire. Both have indicated their desire to be reappointed. Their applications are attached. • The Council could choose to reappoint these individuals, or advertise for additional applicants. There are two applications on file for the Park and Recreation Committee from individuals who were interviewed last year but not appointed. The Council could also consider those applications. • On January 20, the Council will make a variety of appointments (last year's resolution is attached.) The Council may wish to discuss these at the January 6 meeting to identify any questions or concerns, or determine which Council members may have interest in particular appointments. You may also wish to discuss other appointments of council members to committees not in the resolution—including a representative to the Park and Recreation Committee and the HR Committee.
