Deadline/ Timeline: Copy to be finalized by March 20, to be printed and mailed approximately April 1, 2009. Background: • The City's twice-yearly newsletter is sent to all Scandia mailing addresses on approximately April 1 and October 1. Circulation is approximately 1,770, including about 500 newsletters mailed individually to Scandia residents with Marine mailing addresses. • A partial draft of the newsletter has been written. The remaining story to be completed would provide information about the new park rules and reservation procedures. If those items are not approved by the Council on March 17, another story would need to be substituted. • The 2009 Summer Recreation Program brochure would be an insert in this newsletter. Recommendation: The Council should give feedback to staff on the newsletter.
