5.g Approving the 2017 Pay Equity Report§CAND'ILA
Staff Report
Date of Meeting: August 21, 2018
To: City Council
From: Neil Soltis, City Administrator
Re: 2018 Pay Equity Report
Background:
Every three years all local governments are required to file a pay equity report with the state.
The last one was approved January 2015.
Issue:
Are any changes needed to the pay equity report before it is submitted to the state?
Proposal Details:
Included in your packet are the Pay Equity Implementation Form and the jobs summary for all
positions in 2017 that met the reporting requirements. The City's Compensation Plan and the
State Job Match Job Evaluation system were used to assign points for each classification. The
report was due January 31st; however, the notification was not received by the city as contact
information was Kristina Handt's old email address. The report has been reviewed by the State
Pay Equity Coordinator for the Minnesota Management and Budget and found to be compliant.
Options:
1) Approve the Pay Equity Report
2) Amend and then Approve the Pay Equity Report
3) Do not Approve the Pay Equity Report
Recommendation:
