8.d Engineering UpdatesSCANDIA City of Scandia QBOLTON & MENK Engineering Updates 8/21/2018 Engineering italics = old information • Comprehensive Plan Update ➢ Project website updated to include status and current draft (https://www.bolton- menk.com/clients/scandia/index.html) ➢ Plan was distributed to adjacent communities for review 5/31/18. Comments are trickling in (no substantive comments yet). All comments due by 12/1/18. ➢ Plan was submitted to Met Council for preliminary review on 6/14/18. Preliminary review is an informal review by the Met Council. We received comments on July 17, 2018. Some minor changes will be required to address these comments. These will be done following the adjacent community review. 2018 Street Project ➢ Weekly/current construction updates are posted on the City's website, link is: "2018 Street Improvements Projects" ➢ Contractor has completed all the roadway paving other than 1991h Street N and Parkview Ave N. Contractor continues to work on box culvert and large storm crossing rehab along 199th Street N thus roadway remains closed. ➢ Contractor has also been focusing on completing driveway tie-ins. Guardrail, shouldering, and restoration work will be following soon. ➢ Contractor's Request for Payment No. 3 on agenda as separate business item. • Washington County Construction Projects ➢ County Road 52 (Oakhill Road) • Oakhill Road North (County Road 52) from Hwy 95 to Hwy 97 • Contractor has completed all the work other than remaining punch list items. ➢ CSAH 3/01inda Trail Update Phase 1 - Planned for 2020, CSAH 4 (170th street) to Old Marine Trail • Phase 2 —Planned for 2021, Old Marine Trail to County line • Miscellaneous ➢ Spray Patching • All work has been completed except for final approval of area #6 (240th Street), upon work being completed and approved we will obtain documents for final payment and project closeout. ➢ Layton Ave N/ Bliss Addition (Holiday Beach Plat) — Ditching/Culvert Cleaning • Peterson Excavating, Inc. plans on starting the week of August 20th starting with the ditching, restoration, followed by the culvert cleaning. Construction Notices to the residents will be handed out prior to the weekend before.
