Public Works Staff Report — Jules
Roads and Right — of — way
➢ Mowing — ROW completed — several odds and ends mowed — road
construction areas and requests for site lines
➢ Culverts — Jetting list ready — 1 additional culvert being ditched out
➢ GIS — locates of Signs and Culvert (known and found) is complete
➢ Tree down or hanging — 197th/ larkspur, 15670 Pilar - 2, Maxwill — 3
large ones, Lakamaga, Hay Lake, 195th
➢ Signs — Locations and information loaded into GIS
➢ City Entrance signs — Re -painting is complete — Facility signs next
➢ Sweeping — Fat Cat race route
➢ Patching — 202nd St., Orwell, 238' St.
➢ Gravel roads: Dinosaur Hill — graded and rolled,
➢ Construction — Soft spots identified, wheel rutting — washouts, citizen
complaints - engineer notified
➢ Crack sealing — completed — Spray patching — completed 8-7-18
➢ MNDOT ROW planting — All materials have been sourced and
planting is scheduled for the trees — beds prepared
➢ Sanitary Sewer basin and cover installed with the Co. Rd. 52 project
— The City supplied the casting and cover — waiting for contractor to
remove asphalt on top of casting for a visual inspection
➢ LHL — re -graded and rock dams sifted 2x
➢ Roads — annual striping of Minor Collectors is complete, Quinell Ave.

Sewer — Water:
➢ July `18 - sewer samples were taken at Bliss, Test well samples taken
both Bliss and AE
➢ June state water samples taken and submitted — all samples tested
out very good
➢ Waste Water Committee meeting — 7-12-18
➢ 201 — July monthly DMR completed
➢ Sludge Judging the tanks of the 201 system and Uptown customers /
PW/ City Hall/ warming house
➢ Pump readings
➢ Drain fields mowed / weed whipped by controllers
➢ Washington Co. monthly sewer report completed
➢ Uptown - Monthly water meter readings completed
➢ 34 Gopher One call requests
Parks:
➢ Monthly safety checks done on playgrounds
➢ Tennis court — trenched root zone outside the courts - painting and
post installation to begin mid-August 18
➢ Mowing — Continues on a rotation — City Hall/ballfields - 3 times
➢ Lilleskogen - Rain garden weeded by PT staff and mulched by Lakes
Free Church youth volunteers — Drainage area for outlet cleaned of
wood debris by Lakes Free Church youth volunteers
➢ Swedish Monument — Weeded and mowed / weed whipped — 4 times
➢ Hay Lake — Mowed 5 times
➢ Boundaries for Watershed ID'd — Building room on site is limited
➢ Lighted Ballfields — dragged each day there is scheduled play —
concessions building painted, bleachers painted, weeds guard re -set
by Lakes Free Church youth volunteers — antique score board
removed from concession stand building
➢ WIP paths mowed on upland area, tree across path removed
➢ Equipment maintenance
➢ Draft for benches amended
➢ Quote for Hay Lake fountain obtained
Other:
➢ Holiday Lights arrived — some bracket modifications will be needed
➢ Shrub pruning at City Hall — cont. and weeding continued
➢ City Hall — Gutters cleaned, toilet fixed, faucet fixed
➢ Minor roof repairs at PW and Fire Hall
➢ Monthly building and safety inspections
