Re: Consolidated Telecommunications fiber to the home Feasibility study
Background: Councilmember Steve Kronmiller and I met with Joe Buttweiler of CTC to review the
draft of the study results. As shown on the following the estimated cost to provide fiber to the
home including the connection at the home is estimated to cost $13,377,782. OF this cost roughly
$5,800,000 is the estimated cost from the drops from the main lines to the houses. A chart of the
costs, the estimated cost based on the % of users, and a map of the network follow this report.
