New Scandia Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Dennis Seefeldt. The
following Board Members were in attendance: Chairman Dennis Seefeldt, Vice Chairman
Michael Hinz, Nancy Madden and Blair Joselyn. Michael Harnetty was absent.
JAMES SIMPSON-CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE
Mr. Simpson, 23393 Nolan Avenue North requested a Certificate of Compliance to construct a
5500 square footage accessory building for Jim's Tree Farm. It was agreed that a site visit would
be necessary to review the request. Dennis Seefeldt and Blair Joselyn would meet with Mr.
Simpson at the site on October 17, 2005 at 3:00 p.m.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE -REBECCA AND WILLEM BASTIAENS
Blair Joselyn made a motion to approve the Certificate of Compliance with findings to
construct a 3,546 square foot livestock building for the purpose of raising alpacas, selling
alpaca fiber and high quality alpaca breeding stock. Nancy Madden seconded the motion
and motion adopted unanimously.
XCEL ENERGY -INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC AND GAS SERVICE
Nancy Madden made a motion to approve the installation of Electric and Gas Service for
Xcel Energy in the Plat of Wild Bush Acres. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and motion
adopted unanimously.
PRIVATE SALE OF TAX -FORFEITED LAND
Michael Hinz made a motion to approve the request of Washington County for the private
sale of tax forfeited land in the Plat of Bimers Lakeshore and Scandia Ranchettes. Blair
Joselyn seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously.
PARKING LOT-SCANDIAIMARINE LIONS SHELTER
The following quotes were received for the Parking Lot at the Scandia/Marine Lions Shelter:
(1) Scandia Trucking $20,425.00
(2) Peterson Excavating $29,500.00
(3) Dresel Contracting $32,625.00
Nancy Madden made a motion to award the bid to Scandia Trucking in the amount of
$20,425.00 for the Parking Lot at Scandia/Marine Lions Shelter. Michael Hinz seconded
the motion and motion adopted unanimously.
REVIEW OF SIGNAGE IN NEW SCANDIA TOWNSHIP
Dennis Seefeldt reported due to residents inquires regarding signage throughout New Scandia
Township a meeting was held with Dennis Seefeldt, Blair Joselyn and David Hebert. Mr.
Seefeldt requested a Workshop be held with the Planning Commission to review the Sign
Ordinance.

Blair Joselyn made a motion that the township pick up all signs that are obviously placed in
road -right -way in violation of the township sign ordinance, and that signs be stored for a
period of 10 working days to allow for them to be recovered by their owners. Nancy
Madden seconded the motion and motion adoptedunanimously.
VACANCIES ON THE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD
Blair Joselyn stated that there are two vacancies on the Park and Recreation Board and requested
to advertise to fill the positions. He also reported that in the future it would not be possible for
two persons from the same family to serve on the Park and Recreation Board.
Nancy Madden made a motion to adjourn and meeting adjourned.
