12-6-05 tbDecember 6, 2005 New Scandia Town Board meeting was called to order by Chainnan Dennis Seefeldt. The following Board Members were in attendance: Chairman Dennis Seefeldt, Vice Chairman Michael Hinz, Michael Harnetty, Blair Joselyn and Nancy Madden. JOE AND AMY CHILDERS-AGREEMENT Michael Harnetty made a motion to approve the Agreement between Joseph and Amy Childers and New Scandia Township regarding the secondary residence constructed on their property. The Agreement stated to pay the $2335.92 as a penalty for the unlawful construction of the secondary residence, attorney fees and a Letter of Credit in the amount of $30,000.00. The financial security shall be automatically renewable and shall extend for a period of five years and six months from the date of December 6, 2005, or until such earlier time as the financial security is released by the Town. Blair Joselyn seconded the motion adopted. RESOLUTION NUMBER 12-06-05-01 PROVIDING FOR A STUDY PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION OF COMMUNITY RESIDENCES WITHIN THE TOWN AND AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM ON THE SITING OF COMMUNITY RESIDENCES WITHIN THE TOWN OF NEW SCANDIA Blair Joselyn made a motion to approve Resolution Number 12-06-05-01 Providing For A Study Pertaining To The Regulation Of Community Residences Within The Town. Michael Harnetty seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Michael Harnetty made a motion to approve Ordinance Number 86, Establishing A Moratorium On The Siting Of Community Residences Within The Town Of New Scandia, Washington County. Nancy Madden seconded the motion and motion adopted. SALE OF PULL -TABS AT PROSPECTS RESTAURANT Mr. Porter representing Forest Lake Athletic Association requested permission from New Scandia Township to sell Pull -Tabs at the Prospects Restaurant. Mr. Porter was informed to present a Resolution pertaining to the sale of Pull -Tabs at the Prospect Restaurant for the December 20, 2005 Town Board meeting. DEBI CAMPOBASSO/PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE Ms. Campobasso presented documents regarding the Ice Facility and the proposal for Community Activities with the creation of a Park and Recreation Coordinator position. No discussion was held regarding these issues. ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE FOR COMMERCL&L PROPERTY Chairman Dennis Seefeldt appointed Michael Harnetty to the Architectural Review Committee for Commercial Property.
