New Scandia Planning Commission held their regular monthly
meeting. Members of the Town Board present were: Jackson,
Nordin, Hawkinson, Pratt and Ostlund.
David Nickelson
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
variance to David Nickelson, 16130 199th St. North, Scandia,
Mn. Part of NE -14 o NE -2 of Section 25, Township 32, Range 20 West.
To construct a pole building closer to the road then the house.
The most reasonable area for the building and less obsurity to
his neighbors. The siding must match the house. Pratt made
a motion to accept. Hawkinson seconded and adopted.
Richard Tetzlaff Conditional Use Permits, Attorneys Office,
Now on Video and Bank Av Antiks
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to renew the
Conditional Use Permits for Richard Tetzlaff for the following
businesses. Attorney's Office and Now on Video, 21090 Olinda
Trail and Bank Av Antik, 14762 Oakhill Road. Nordin made a
motion to accept. Ostlund seconded and adopted.
Wm. Isch Conditional Use Permit (Twin City Roffing Consulting)
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to renew the
Conditional Use Permit for Wm. Isch DBA Twin City Roofing
Consulting. Ostlund made a motion to accept. Nordin seconded
and adopted. 23620 Melanie Trail.
Becky Brooks Conditinal Use Permit (Hair Artists)
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
renewal of the Conditional Use Permit to Becky Brooks (Hair
Artisty) 21060 Penrose. Pratt made a motion to accept.
Hawkinson seconded and adopted.
Jean Womack DBA, Transmission Repair
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
renewal of the Conditional Use Permit to Jean Womack, 456 So.
Shore, Forest Lake, MN. Location of shop 23200Paris Ave.
Scandia, Mn DBA Transmission Repair. Mrs. Womack must be in
attendance for the renewal next year. Hawkinson made a motion
to accept. Pratt seconded and adopted.
John Swanson Trails Ends
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to renew the
Conditional Use Permit Trails End, 16297 Scandia Trail. Owner
John Swanson, 367 Owasso Blvd. Roseville, MN. Nordin made a
motion to accept. Ostlund seconded and adopted.

Lowell Bengston Minor Subdivision
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Minor Subdivision to Lowell Bengston, 1020 Quant Ave. North,
Marine, Mn. 55047. Part of Lot 5 County Auditors Plat No. 6.
With the condition the drianage easements be dedicated
to protect drainage rights. Oslund made a motion to accept
with the following additions. Parcel A the driveway must be
entered on Oakhill Road and 33 feet from the centerline be
dedicated to the Township. Hawkinson seconded and adopted.
Gordon and Judv Rvdeen Land Split
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to accept the
land split for Gordon and Judy Rydeen and waiver the requirements
of a Minor Subdivision and on conditin this be combined on
the existing deeds of the two purchasers and require a survey.
Hawkinson made a motion to accept. Pratt seconded and adopted.
Wm Davidson
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to deny the
variance to Wm. Davidson, 2156 Nakomis, St. Paul, Mn. 55119.
Part of Gov. Lot 7, Section 29, Township 32, Range 20. For
road frontage from 0 to 300 ft. Reasons; No public road,
no utilities and no year around homes in the area. Hawkinson
made a motion to accept with the following additions. No
public road and not feasible to ocnstruct a public road at
this time. No public services to the property. The public
hearing is closed at this time. Ostlund seconded and adopted.
