ASSESSMENTS HEARING FOR ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
On the above date New Scandia Town Board held the Assessment
Hearings for the Road Improvement Project, 1989. Present were:
Jackson, Nordin_, Pra_tt'and .Hawkinson, Ostlund absent.
Walter Anderson Melanie Trail was opposing the 75% assessment
on the residental road of Melanie Trail. The board informed
Mr. Anderson this decision has been made and this policy is done
in surrounding areas.
The following property owners were opposing to the road assessments:
James Vesall, Bill Isch, Gerald Olson, Gary Kerkow, Steven Hippie,
Ruth Dahlin, Richard Tetzlaff, David Hougton, James Baker, Allan
Steffes and Wm. Woodward. Gerald Reichstadts wanted an explanation
on their assessment and the assessment was in error. The assessment
was for two residental streets and the assessment should be for
one collector street and one residental.
The clerk would contact Dennis O'Donnell from Washington County
Planning Department regarding his opinion on the parcels if they
would be buildable or not.
Pratt made a motion to reconvene the Assessment Hearing to
September 18, 1989 at 7:30 P.m. Hawkinson seconded and adopted.
